TSGNO (They Shall Grow Not Old) is a not-for-profit digital memorial honouring the fallen of St Joseph's Parish, Dundee. This notice explains what we do with the information you send us through this website.
Who is responsible
The website is run by Onorach Innovation (company number SC508650, Dundee), which is the data controller. Questions about your information go to the curator, Stephen Leiper, at curator@tsgno.org.
What we collect
- Feedback form: your first and last name, email address, the type of feedback and your message.
- Share a Record form: your first and last name and email address; the name of the person being remembered; optionally their church or religious organisation and where they are buried; any notes you add; and the files you upload, such as letters, photographs or documents.
We do not use cookies, analytics or tracking of any kind. Our server keeps a scrambled, one-way code made from your internet address for one hour, only to stop spam. It cannot be turned back into your address.
Why we use it
- To read and reply to your feedback.
- To review uploaded items for suitability and accuracy, and to contact you about them.
- To publish approved items on this website, as part of the memorial archive.
We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on each form. Nothing you upload is published until the curator has reviewed it.
Where it is kept
Everything you send is stored on our web hosting server, provided by Krystal Hosting Ltd in the United Kingdom, in an area that cannot be reached from the internet. Uploaded files are never sent by email. Only the curator and the project's lead researcher can see submissions. We do not sell your information or share it with anyone else.
How long we keep it
- Feedback: up to two years, then deleted.
- Uploads we do not publish: deleted within six months of review.
- Published items: kept for as long as the memorial is online, unless you ask us to remove them.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing curator@tsgno.org, and we will remove your details and any items you sent, including published ones. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
About the people remembered
UK data protection law covers living people. The records in this memorial are about those who have died, but they may mention living relatives. Please only send material you have permission to share, and tell us in your notes if anything should be handled with particular care.
